CCPA 2018

California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, which grants consumers new rights with respect to the collection of their personal information has been signed into an Act On June 28, 2018.

The California Attorney General’s Office has proposed a final set of regulations  on June 1st 2020, which is  being processed by the OAL (Office of Administrative law) which will review it and approve within the next 90 days.

The regulations aim to establish procedures to facilitate consumers’ rights under the CCPA and provide guidance to businesses for how to comply.

The Title 1.18.5 of the Civil Code deals with the California Consumer Privacy Act 2018.
