The Health Care Data Privacy Act which was being drafted by the Union Health Ministry to codify the privacy and security. of health information of individuals in India has now been renamed Digital Information Security in Health Care, Act (DISHA)
This will be the first sector specific laws for Privacy Protection in India.
A Draft of the law has now been released for public comments to be submitted before April 21, 2018.
